NeighGative_ (Pronounced "Negative Space") is a side-project derived from the artistic concept of a deeper subject focus, cleverly integrated within the confines of a blank surrounding margin. The interpretation of the
creator's piece is sometimes left up to the viewer, whilst the artist's true intent remains ambiguous. Other works, are much more obvious and outwardly purposeful.The true meaning of "NeighGative_" in this case, is of the latter
ideology. To create a "negative space artwork" you must have two contrasting design elements, working together seamlessly to achieve the desired result. That's what the alias is all about...a goal of togetherness, and harmony
through music.

The genre of "trance" was always a passion of mine. Back in its earliest days, clubs, raves, festivals, and concert halls were packed with people of every age, race, religion, gender identity, background, and walk of life, to celebrate the humanity and love that the genre expresses. For one shining moment, there was a place of unity and solitude,
away from a world of pain, prejudice, greed, oppression, and divide, where people could come together under one roof, to enjoy beautiful melodies, set to drums akin to that of a human heartbeat.Trance music encompasses the beauty of life, as well as the sad bits too. Trance is an emotional genre, that pulls at your heartstrings, and in the same breath, makes you put your hands in the air. Listening to trance is an experience like no other, working both the body and the mind in ways few other genres can. My respect and love for trance music has always been there, and the chance to finally go back to my roots and write this album, has been a blessing, and a creative
experience like no other!

The name "A Place in a Different Time" references a dream I had, in which an outpost of "Ponyville" was found nestled within the Glencoe mountains of Scotland. The fantasy itself was very peaceful, inspiring, and wonderful to witness within that momentary "dreamstate" and when I awoke, the identity of the would-be album was born. There are musical tie-ins to this premonition throughout the record, the most manifest being within the title track itself. I hope the experience
of listening to this anthology, will take you on a trip, to a place of magic, wonder, mystery, love, and togetherness!
