Oh boy...there's quite a bit of a backstory to this one, so if you like
super long winded story-time moments, strap in!

First and foremost, this is a Twilight Sparkle track; the element of "Magic." I most definitely needed a melody for this one, that was not only important to me, (as previously stated in the "Elegance" bio, Twi was my favourite of the Mane Six during series 1-3) but carried with it that "magical vibe" that would be crucial to the song's overall feeling.

To fully explain this one...I must take you back to the year 2005, when a very young Brilliant Venture, discovered a mysterious song titled "Blood Moon" on the now defunct P2P file sharing service known as "Limewire." Being wide-eyed and still relatively new to electronic music, I was desperate to find as much "electronica" online as I could. It wasn't a very popular genre where I was living at the time, so finding it in stores was VERY hard. Now, for those that didn't grow up with it, Limewire was a hub full of music and media, that was transferred back and forth between users over the internet. Often times the songs would be mistitled, or attributed to the wrong artist, so sometimes you'd find a weird one-in-a-million song with unknown origins, far different to what you were initially searching for. One day I encountered a song titled "Blood Moon" which opened with a very unique, surreal, and chillingly gorgeous guitar riff. The rest of the track was slightly primitive in the sound-design department, and I knew that the artist I was initially searching for when I uncovered it, was likely not the one who produced the track. However, that song's impact never left me...for well over a decade and a half I'd randomly hop online, and scour the internet to see if I could find any lead on who really wrote that song, and where that opening sample came from, but every time I thought I'd found a lead...nothing. I then came up with the idea, of taking that opening riff, sampling it and building a full original track around it, with hopes that maybe one day, someone knowledgeable in a comment section would be able to point out where they'd heard the sample before, finally revealing to me its origins!

So I went to work, sampling and remaking the "Blood Moon" sounds as best as I could for layering purposes to improve quality. Once happy with that, I then decided, that a track this important to me would be the one I chose as the signature "dubstep track" for the album. I wanted to go all out, and make "Arcane Harmony" my most intense and "Brilliant Venture esque" dubstep track I'd created thus far! Feeling the need to add a guitar element to match the "opening riff sample," I sought out my close friend @pplebukker to freestyle some guitar over the intro, buildup, and drops. He sent me the stems, I did some re-arranging/splicing, and before I knew it, we'd made an absolute banger together! I can't thank him enough for his kindness, love, and assistance with this one! He's a big part of why friendship is "magic" to me, and is therefore a PERFECT inclusion to this song!

...And then, something amazing happened! Mere weeks before the album was finished, I decided to give it a go one more time, and I searched for the "Blood Moon" origins once more. After quite the "plexus" of connections from my music searching past (involving weird sample-pack-based amateur albums, old music hosting sites, and odd and obscure remixes of the "Tetris Theme") I discovered new leads that would eventually direct me to an archaic sample pack from back in 1999...and IN that sample pack (which somehow was still available to buy digitally!) was the holy grail that was the "blood moon" opening riff! After a VERY enthusiastic purchase and a quick swap-out, I finally had the samples in top quality, and "Arcane Harmony" was at full power! I was able to give my favourite purple alicorn my best work, and the send up she deserved! So, MASSIVE thanks to @pplebukker for this one, and all the little clues hidden throughout my life, which SOMEHOW directed me to the sample I've coveted for so long! The whole thing was definitely an experience I'd appropriately call "Magic."
