Back in 2019 at the first PonyvilleCiderfest I attended, I had already begun working on some concept ideas for an album of original Brilliant Venture material. My main idea for the record was of course, rooted in the "Elements of Harmony" and writing tracks dedicated to each pony with an element, and one for Starlight Glimmer as well. I didn't want to just dive into the characters in question right off the bat however, so I decided a proper intro track was necessary to kick things off! I wanted to tell the story of the origins of the elements, and the events leading up to their use with the "Mane Six." "Remembrance Re:Form" was a song I'd already begun writing stems for before performing at Ciderfest. I'd already written the piano, some drums, and a had a bit of the synthwork finished. During that convention I had some unique ideas for the track reveal themselves to me. Firstly, I was coaxed by a friend into playing the video game "Undertale" for the first time, and was blown away by the music motifs, themes, and overall effort that was put into the game's soundtrack. I couldn't play too much however due to time constraints, but I played enough to be inspired to create the opening riff for "Remembrance" based on the overall vibes I got from some of the game's early stages.
The next bit of inspiration came from having the chance to meet the lovable lad "loophoof," and talk to him after his set over some steamed breakfast kolaches at a local bakery. I was blown away by his show the previous night, and had watched his energetic performance online prior from BronyCon 2019 as well. He was super nice, and incredibly approachable, and took me in with open arms, which warmed my heart as I'd always considered myself kind of a "fandom musician outsider, looking in" sort of person. I told him about the record and the opening track, and gave him the offer to see if he wanted to do something for it. To my surprise he actually was excited to work on it after hearing the demo, and got back to me with some vocal chops later on. The end result I feel, accurately represents the story and feelings I had in mind when brainstorming this opener. I'm immensely grateful to loophoof for lending his name to the project, and I hope you as the listener enjoy the results!

Flittzy's animesque 'Circles' is a very close second, but NeverLastStanding's 'Go With Me' has recurrently sprung up in my thoughts since the album's debut from the words of encouragement of our Equine friends, given in as heartfelt a manner as those found in Foozogz' works C_||_R

Perfect, mellow, techno synthpop for a long, cold expanse of post-midnight cryoseism snowquakes, here in Central Illinois. Pure pleasure for jaded, jejune ears! str8sounds
